[Double Articulation]
Circular pieces of paper are used as a signifier for the letter “O”. Words that start with “O”, such as ozone, will be written as “zone”             within the circular piece of paper. A sentence will be formed with the words inside the “O”, and also with the actual “O” words. This will     be a double sentence. An example:

            Open Ozone = Pen Zone

A similar piece has split-off of this one. This piece explores binaries:

            On/Off= N/FF (Pressed/Unpressed, Light/Dark)

In the spanish language, este/oeste= East/West. Explore this binary by having este stand on its own, while oeste is este inside the circle,     which would simply look like este next to itself.

[Maverick Cigarette]
“Maverick”, an extra-long version of a cigarette made by attaching end-to-end all the cigarettes in one box of Maverick Cigarettes. I will     document a chain smoker attempting to smoke this entire cigarette in one sitting.

[Adhan Sound Installation]
- Every aspect of installation based on an Islamic principle or idea

- 8 sound files downloaded from the internet
- First Phrase of each sound file (”Allah u Akbar“), stretched from 8 seconds to 381 seconds in duration
- There are 381 minutes between each of the 5 daily calls to prayer

- 4:59 PM
- 8:13 PM
- 10:05 PM

- Audio filtered down to 16 resonant frequencies
- Based on number of points in the complex star polygon (16 point star)
- Frequent motif in Mughal Architecture
- Speakers arranged as if at the points of an octagram
- Audio fades between speakers in the 8,3 cross formation, which is the movement used to draw an octagram

- Viewer sits inside the 8 speakers, on an 8-sided low wooden platform
- Speakers are inside the platform, facing upwards
- Sound is physically surrounding the viewer

[Hood Ornament Formation]
- I noticed a truck with 3 hood ornaments on its hood.
- I would like to cover the hood of a car in Hood Ornaments
- Possibly, an abandoned car would be interested in looking cool.

[Goodwill Sculputures]
- Re-arrange the donations behind our favorite Goodwill donation spot into
large, symmetrical sculptures using only what is available at the site.
- Only to be done under the cover of the night
- Photograph the sculpture
- Sculpture is lit by car headlights

[Object with Car Horn]
Wire a car horn to a touch sensor
- Place car horn/touch sensor inside a metallic pitcher
- Metallic pitcher is made to look as if full of water
- When a person goes to pour a glass of water, the vase will HONK.
- SURPRISE!
- This would be great at a gallery opening

[Feedback Alarm]
- Sound object: A small, self-contained plastic object.
- Simple appearance, with only 2-3 controls
- One sets hours of sleep desired
- Once the hours have passed, an internal microphone will be switched on, causing increasing feedback with an internal speaker.
- This is very annoying
- I’ve already built one of these in Max/MSP.
- It runs on computer time, which is milliseconds, and then it is converted to H, M, S.
